August 26 – October 18, 2011: Regional Artists Showcase
This exhibit will feature artists who were recipients of the Regional Artist Project Grant in 2009, 2010, & 2011 (I was a 2010 recipient). Three of my Reservoir paintings will be included in the show.

September 15-17, 2011: artSPARK Gallery @ SPARKcon
SPARKcon is a unique showcase of creativity, talent and ideas from the Triangle. The artSPARK gallery is just one of many cool events planned for the weekend. Come out, join the fun, be inspired. Two of my Reservoir paintings have been juried into this show.

November 12-13, 2011: Western Wake Artists Studio Tour
I’ll be joining professional artists from western Wake county, NC (Morrisville, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina) who are inviting you to visit us in our studios. The tour is self-guided and you may visit as many studios as you wish. There is no charge.

July 3rd – September 1st, 2010:  Silver Linings: Mixed Media Paintings and Sculptures by Cynthia Morefield, Lynda Cole and Jeff Hersey at Terra Gallery, Columbus, OH
In this show I’ll be exhibiting a new series of panel paintings, Reservoir, as well as a couple new works on paper. The opening reception, part of the monthly Gallery Hop,  is Saturday, July 3rd, 6:30-8:30 pm. Please join us! The show will be up through August.

Cindy named 2010 NC Regional Artist Project Grant recipient
In December I was thrilled to learn I was one of 15 artists selected to receive funding through North Carolina’s Regional Artist Project Grant program. Recipients were chosen from a pool of 36 applicants residing in Franklin, Johnston, Wake, Warren and Vance counties based on the quality of their work and their commitment to a professional artistic career. Grant amounts range from $1000 to $1,500 to support the artist’s professional development initiatives in 2010. I will be using my grant funds to attend a Nihonga painting workshop and avail myself of individual career coaching. I’m so happy to live in a state that supports art and artists.
